Xactimate Estimating Evolves with New Technology
Chris Tilkov explains how tech-driven tools help improve accuracy and compliance in the restoration claims process
On this week’s Technical Tip Tuesday, Chris Tilkov, a Director at DocuSketch and the President and Founder of AiME Estimate Review, shares how estimating tools like Xactimate have evolved with technology. While the fundamentals remain largely the same, improvements over the years have focused on documentation and compliance.
Fifteen years ago, estimates were often approved through quick reviews and phone calls between project managers and adjusters. Today, systems require strict protocols and supporting evidence like 360° imagery, detailed photos and peer review are now standard. These changes not only ensure accuracy but also create opportunities to scale and support overflow work when you stay consistent and ready. Stay tuned for next week’s tip!
