Introducing Kayla McGowan: R&R's New Editor-in-Chief

With nearly a decade of industry experience and a passion for growth, Kayla McGowan steps into her new role, aiming to deliver innovative insights and drive community engagement.

I’m thrilled to introduce myself as the new Editor-in-Chief of Restoration & Remediation (R&R). Stepping into this role is both an honor and an exciting opportunity to build upon R&R's strong foundation of delivering high-quality content to the restoration and remediation industry. Having spent nearly a decade immersed in the marketing and communications side of the industry, I’ve developed a deep respect for the work we do and the essential services we provide.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of creating and shaping content that informs, inspires, and engages professionals. As I transition into this new role, my goal is to continue producing valuable insights while exploring innovative ways to connect with our readers. From developing educational resources to sharing strategies, I am committed to fostering growth within our community and supporting the incredible work that drives this industry forward.

In addition to my role at R&R, I am responsible for managing the content strategy for the Experience Events, further bridging the cleaning and restoration industries. I look forward to working closely with the entire R&R team.

A little bit about me: I’m originally from sunny California and now call Las Vegas, Nevada home. I’m also proud to share that I will be completing my master’s degree in leadership with an emphasis on emergency management this month. This educational journey has further deepened my understanding of the challenges and complexities of our work, and I’m eager to apply these insights to better serve our readers.

As I continue to build connections within the industry, I invite you to reach out with story ideas, insights or just to introduce yourself. Together, we can make R&R an even more impactful resource for professionals everywhere.

I look forward to what we can accomplish together!

Warm regards,
Kayla McGowan
