Turning Training into Measurable Results
How restoration companies can overcome training barriers and measure its impact on employee development
Welcome back to episode two of this Technical Tip Tuesday series. This month’s tips are sponsored by our friends at AG Pro Training.
We’re joined by Alexandra Gualtieri, owner of AG Pro Training, and she discusses the challenge every restoration business faces, overcoming common training barriers and creating programs that drive real results.
In episode 1, we talked about the importance of building a structured training roadmap. This week, we took it a step further by exploring why some training programs fail, even when companies invest significant time and money into employee development.
Among these mistakes, there is one common mistake that is costly. Companies often spend hundreds, or even thousands of dollars on training without measuring the results. Alexandra recommends a simple but effective way to follow-up with employees who attend training.
Ask the employee(s):
- What did you learn?
- What surprised you?
- What can you start doing differently today?
- What questions do you still have?
These questions help reinforce key concepts while helping leadership identify opportunities for additional coaching and support for their employees.
When objectives are clearly communicated, learning is supported in the field, and new opportunities are created for existing employees, training becomes bigger than obtaining a certification. It’s recognized as a tool the helps build stronger employees, stronger teams, and stronger companies.
Thank you for tuning in, we'll see you next week!
