The next meeting of the Property Industry Conference will be held on Sunday, March 17th in Boston, Mass., at the Hilton Boston Back Bay from 11:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., according to a press release. The meeting will take place before the PLRB/LIRB Conference. There will be a networking lunch beginning at 11:30 a.m. and the program will begin at 12:45 p.m.

The meeting will focus on contents restoration after fire and water damage, addressing issues such as: restore vs. replace; determining “clean”; insurer challenges with contents restoration projects; current technology and techniques; and a discussion on a new fire damage standard related to contents restoration. Cost to attend the meeting is $60 per person and includes the networking luncheon and program. Attendees can register online at www.propertyindustryconference.org.

“Contents restoration is an important aspect of many projects and this discussion will look at the issues from the insurer side and the restoration contractor who provides the service,” said PIC Chairman Jeff Brinkman. “Attendees will also have an opportunity to provide critical input for the new contents fire damage standard that will begin development this spring.”
