How many times have we gone into a water loss involving a hardwood floor and several months after you’ve completed the work there is now a noisy wood floor concern in the area of the water loss? As a certified wood floor inspector, I see this time after time and in many cases the water restoration professional is unaware of the characteristics of certain wood products.
It doesn’t make any difference if your restoration or remediation business is large or small, not having the right people in every position in your company can mean a huge bottom-line cost in lost business, inefficiency, and missed opportunities.
The first article in this series ended with a discussion on using fogging to assist particle control, and the importance of proper droplet size. Smaller, light particles tend to be more effective because they are then similar or smaller in size than the particles being removed from the air.
