Radians Unveils New PPE for Women with Fitted Safety Vest

womens PPE
August 26, 2016
Radians®, a global leader in the development and manufacturing of quality Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), recently launched their RadWear® SVL1 safety vest for ladies. This ANSI Class 2, Type R safety vest was designed especially for women and features a flattering adjustable waist.

According to NIOSH, “Women currently make up almost half of the U.S. work force and increasingly are moving into occupations such as restoration and the construction trades.”

“Although women play an ever increasing role in construction and restoration, the majority of safety vests today are designed for men,” says Joyce Wooley, Radians Hi-Viz product manager. “This means that women are often put in a situation where they are wearing men’s vests that are often too large for them. Oversized vests can lead to increased safety risks because they can get caught in machinery or snagged on equipment,” says Wooley. “The ladies have spoken, and Radians has responded,” says Wooley. “Our new ladies safety vest was designed with the female in mind, giving her a tailored and functional safety vest to keep her visible during the day and in low light situations.”

The Radians SVL1 is a Hi-Viz safety vest with an adjustable waist to provide a custom fit. It has a zipper closure, silver poly woven substrate reflective tape, and silver reflective piping, which contributes to the tailored look of the vest while providing additional reflectivity. It has one interior radio pocket and two zippered waist pockets to hold essentials. The vest front is made of 100% polyester sateen and the back and sides are made of 100% polyester mesh for breathability. The vest is available in sizes Small to 2X and custom imprinting of logos is available on the chest and back center.

All Radians products are sold through authorized distributors. For more information, call toll free 1-877-723-4267, email sales@radians.com, or visit www.radians.com.
