RIA Offering Courses for Restorer Certification

Two prerequisite courses offered June 1-3.

The Restoration Industry Association plans to offer two courses in just one week for people wanting to become certified restorers. The courses will be offered June 1-3 in Norcross, Georgia, which is just outside Atlanta. During the week, attendees can participate in these prerequisite courses:

  • Content Restoration: Science and Theory. This course will give people a chance to learn about content restoration itself, including how to restore personal property damaged due to fire, smoke, flood or disaster.

  • Building Science. Explore the effects water has on different materials, the interdependent system and how this affects water migration, plus how buildings behave when exposed to moisture.
