Adjusters, long-time contractors and even self-styled “experts” will try to tell you that it is impossible to restore wet books, film, electronics and even photographs.

Expanding into contents cleaning is a very good profit center to add to any restoration business. It has one of the highest profit margins in the industry if you have a good systemized process and well trained staff.

Do not try to interpret an insurance policy and commit an adjuster by speaking for them. If you work at being the solution partner for both parties involved, you will ensure a win for everyone.

It depends on what services you are going to handle completely in house and what aspects of the cleaning and restoration you will sub to other specialty contractors. 

It is really important that you have diversification on your team, especially when it comes to cleaning contents.

There are some things that you can do to break through the initial hesitation or lack of confidence that you may receive from an adjuster at the beginning of a job.
