The RIA kicked off its “Safe Harbor Initiative” last month, a campaign designed to educate its members on the specifics of the settlement reached over the summer in the patent lawsuit settlement with ThermaPure. As part of this initiative, the RIA hosted a Virtual Town Hall webinar on Tuesday, November 11 to discuss details of the settlement and take questions from Association members.

The Restoration Industry Association (RIA) kicked off its “Safe Harbor Initiative” earlier this week, and part of this initiative includes the Virtual Town Hall the association will host on Tuesday, November 11 at 10 a.m. CST.

The Restoration Industry Association officially kicked off its Safe Harbor Initiative October 28 in a brief presentation that rehashed the settlement details from the RIA/ThermaPure patent infringement lawsuit and provided an outlook on how members would be briefed moving forward.

The Restoration Industry Association (RIA) is launching the “Safe Harbor Initiative,” which will discuss the “Safe Harbor” clause that was created exclusively for RIA members as a result of the patent lawsuit settlement between the RIA and ThermaPure, Inc. 

Asbestos minerals have been used in building materials for fire-proofing and strengthening for close to 100 years and can still be found today in both old and new buildings.

It’s no secret that one of the biggest storylines in the restoration industry over the past several years has been the lawsuits.

PLR Expo Services has announced that the Restoration Industry Association (RIA) is offering CE Credits for sessions being held at the upcoming PLR Expo, which will take place from September 30 to October 2 at the International Plaza Hotel in Toronto, Ontario.

 As you might have heard, the Restoration Industry Association (RIA) and ThermaPure, Inc. (TP) have successfully settled the patent lawsuit RIA initiated in January 2013.

The RIA has issued a call for papers for its 70th International Restoration Convention to be held at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas from May 6-8, 2015.
