Enviro-Clean, Inc. Announces Promotion of Kara DeMorro to General Manager
From estimator to executive, Kara DeMorro's journey reflects her resilience, excellence and industry impact

Enviro-Clean, Inc. (EC Restore) proudly announces the promotion of Kara DeMorro to General Manager, marking an inspiring milestone for both her career and the company’s continued evolution as a regional leader in restoration and reconstruction.
Kara’s journey in the restoration industry began in 2004 under remarkable circumstances. Amid earning her MBA and raising a two-year-old, Kara accepted a position as a personal assistant to a family friend who was a public adjuster in Central Connecticut. What started as a temporary administrative role became a natural and ongoing class in property damage estimating, policy interpretation, and client advocacy. Her sharp intellect and curiosity transformed her into an expert estimator and a steadfast advocate for homeowners and businesses navigating loss.
In 2015, Kara met EC Restore President Eric Anderson at an industry event in central Connecticut. Two years later, shortly after Eric acquired the company from his parents, he recruited Kara to join the EC team as a Reconstruction Estimator. Her technical expertise, empathy for clients, adaptability, and operational insight quickly made her indispensable. By 2021, she was promoted to Senior Estimator, often taking on multiple roles assisting across departments when called upon.
Kara’s story is one of both professional excellence and profound personal resilience. In 2019, just after giving birth to her second son, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Rather than stepping back, she faced the challenge with grace, grit, and unshakable optimism. With the full support of her EC family, Kara continued to work, lead, and grow while navigating motherhood, recovery, and a deep personal exploration of healing and holistic wellness.
“In a traditionally male-dominated industry,” Anderson notes, “EC is proud to be led by a talented and diverse team of women who are redefining what true balance in leadership looks like. Kara earned this position through consistent excellence and perseverance in the face of challenges I can only admire. What she’s accomplished and overcome goes beyond remarkable.”
Today, Kara celebrates being cancer-free and continues to lead with the same courage, empathy, and determination that carried her through recovery. Her journey is a testament to what’s possible when courage meets purpose and a reminder that in restoration, we don’t just rebuild properties, we help restore lives.
When EC’s leadership team, Anderson and Vice President Erika Dean, began interviewing candidates for the company’s new General Manager position, they realized the ideal person was already on their team. Kara’s track record, inside and institutional knowledge, and ability to lead with integrity and compassion made her the natural choice. After a formal interview and strategic review, the decision was unanimous.
Kara says her passion for restoration comes from the very nature of the work.
“This industry is always changing,” she shares. “It’s never monotonous, it’s challenging, and it’s fulfilling because we get to help people when they need it most.”
As General Manager, Kara is most excited to build and implement strategic structure and process frameworks that enhance workflow efficiency and strengthen EC’s long-term growth.
