Trade Talks: Unlocking The Experience

From Carpet Cleaning to Media

By Kayla McGowan
January 30, 2025

In this episode of “TradeTalks: Unlocking The Experience”, Restoration & Remediation’s Chief Editor and host Kayla McGowan sits down with Jeff Cross. Jeff has extensive media experience, is an entrepreneur who previously owned and operated a successful cleaning business, is an IICRC Instructor and industry leader.

More about Jeff:

Listen on the go!

Your browser does not support the audio element.
  • He paved his way in the industry by chance. One of his friends was in the cleaning industry and Jeff followed.
  • Jeff ran a successful cleaning business and began writing for Cleanfax. It quickly led to him becoming the Editor and now the Media Director.
  • Jeff shares about his presentation "The Butterfly Effect." We can't change the past, but we can mold the future. Jeff discusses the importance of collaboration, learning from others and how some things in the industry don’t change (for the better).
  • Jeff is a jerky master – he is a mad scientist in the kitchen!
  • Jeff predicts the outcome of the Buckeyes National Championship and the Super Bowl. Is he right?

We hope to see you at The Experience April 8-10 at the Charlotte Harbor Convention Center in Punta Gorda, FL. Register here.

We can’t wait to see you there!
