NORMI Finds New Home for NORMIPro Academy in Larger Location

NORMI Academy
November 10, 2021

The National Organization of Remediators and Mold Inspectors (NORMI) has relocated its onsite training facility, the NORMIPro Academy, to a newer and larger building in the Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., area. This move directly resulted from the need for a more spacious classroom and increased training space to enhance students’ learning experiences. In addition, the academy’s new classroom is fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology, enabling NORMI to simulcast courses LIVE online in fully interactive webinars using the Zoom platform. With this live, online simulcast ability, NORMI can provide high-quality, fully interactive training to students anywhere there is sufficient internet. The new address for the NORMIPro Academy is 4555 NW 103rd Suite 250, Sunrise, FL  33351.

NORMI has also been proactive in meeting the market demand for a broader base of training and certification courses. This IAQ industry’s premier training organization has increased its onsite training course schedule to regularly include the following:

  • Mold Assessor and Remediator (English & Spanish)
  • Mold Odor Abatement
  • Remediation for Sensitized Individuals
  • EPA Lead Renovation, Repair, Painting (RRP) (English & Spanish)
  • IAQ/Mold Strategy, Sampling, Solutions
  • Advanced IAQ Assessor

All of these courses offer Florida CEUs and effectively prepare students for exams to secure respective certifications. Some states require certifications as part of their licensing requirements, but NORMI continues to assist its members long after they secure their state licenses.

According to Doug Hoffman, executive director of NORIM, “It’s not about just getting a license. It’s about building a successful business.”

NORMI offers weekly CE training for active members and hosts free online CE classes for several months before the Florida mold license renewal period, giving active NORMI members licensed in Florida the ability to complete the required 14 CEUs at no additional cost. All Florida licensed mold assessors and remediators are required to complete the 14 CEUs as mandated by the Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) Mold Related Services Board. All Florida licensed mold assessors and remediators must complete these 14 CEUs by July 31, 2022.

NORMI is a not-for-profit training and certifying organization for indoor air quality professionals recognized by all mold-licensing states. For more information on courses and certifications, visit BestTrainingSchool.com or call 888.856.4803. For NORMI membership options, visit NORMI.org.
