Vitro Minerals Opens Plant for Recycled Glass Blast Media
Recycled glass blast media is free of crystalline silica and is environmentally friendly.
Vitro Minerals has announced the completion of a 26,000 ton/year recycled glass processing plant in Jackson, TN to make recycled glass blast media, a material that can be used for surface prep and on restoration projects, according to a press release.
Included is a line to make a specialty dustless blasting grade, which is used to replace soda blast in specialty applications, such as graffiti removal. Recycled glass blast media is free of crystalline silica and is environmentally friendly.
