Eric Anderson, co-owner of Enviro-Clean, a Smithfield company that specializes in water cleanup, mold removal and prevention, says he has so much work he’s had to import dozens of workers from as far away as Texas. Anderson said Enviro-Clean has received more than 1,000 calls in a 36-hour period, mostly from Rhode Islanders with water in their basements.

The Texans arrived Thursday from a company called Action Restoration in Beaumont, along with two tractor-trailers full of equipment. More workers were brought in from companies in New Hampshire and Vermont, bringing Enviro-Clean’s available work force from 15 to about 60. From the Providence Journal.
