Weiss Joins FRSTeam by Love Cleaners

August 13, 2008

Bordentown, NJ, 12-Aug-08.  Fabric Restoration Service Team, a national franchise specializing in restoration dry cleaning for the insurance industry, announces that Arthur Weiss has joined FRSTeam by Love Cleaners. Known as the father of restoration dry cleaning, Arthur helps manage a FRSTeam franchise that handles garment and textile restoration in the States of New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York.

Having grown up in the dry cleaning business, he is a third generation in a family of dry cleaners, tailors and clothing designers. He took charge of the family business in 1971 at the age of 17. When a customer of the family’s retail dry cleaning store suffered a severe fire in their home he immediately took an interest in developing methods to restore clothing and other textiles damaged by fire, smoke, water and other perils in a time when there was no expertise in this field. He became one of the first drycleaners to transition from a retail business doing restoration as an additional service to a restoration drycleaner with a separate business and facility solely designed and dedicated for this purpose. Over the years he has been recognized for developing, innovating and implementing methods for inventorying, deodorizing and processing textiles back to pre loss condition. Using the concept of constant improvement, his techniques have spurned the expansion of an industry that is saving millions per year for the insurance industry.

With the Insurance Industry recognizing the value of this service over the years, he has trained perhaps more dry cleaners in this specialty than any other individual. He will play an instrumental role in building FRSTeam by Love Cleaners and extending his knowledge to all members in the FRSTeam network. “I am excited to be in a position to bring the industry in which I have dedicated my career to an even a higher level through the country’s premier network of restoration drycleaning specialists” Weiss states.

His resume includes serving as Board member for several of the country’s leading associations of dry cleaners and textile restoration specialists, monthly columnist for dry cleaning industry trade publications, feature article in Claims Magazine, being appointed as an advisory committee member to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection by Governor Corzine, consulting and teaching.
