PALM SPRINGS, Calif. – March 12, 2009 – The Restoration Industry Association presented the Phoenix Awards, its highest honors, to two member firms during day two of the 64th Annual Convention and Exposition

The RIA Phoenix Awards for Innovation in Restoration and Innovation in Reconstruction are presented each year to recognize achievement in the areas of restoration and reconstruction. Winning projects exemplify the complement of skills required to restore a project to pre-loss condition.

The Phoenix Award for Innovation in Restoration “can be awarded to any RIA member contractor for a restoration project, personal property or building, which does not include building reconstruction.”

Phoenix Award for Innovation in Reconstruction “can be awarded to an individualRIA member contractor for a project in building reconstruction, either residential or commercial.”

Belfor USA of Columbus, OH was presented the Phoenix Award for Innovation in Reconstruction for its work on the Columbus Convention Center.

The Phoenix Award for Innovation in Restoration went to The Rolyn Companies, Inc., for its work on The Tabernacle in Atlanta.

In addition to earning the respect of fellow RIA members, this award provides a vehicle for winners, participating firms and the entire RIA membership to achieve recognition in the media and the insurance industry for their contributions.
