Setting Sail with ABRA in 2011

By Rich Ross
January 5, 2011

The American Bio-Recovery Association is looking forward to an exciting year in 2011. We are in the process of updating our website, which is underway and will be a work in progress so please bear with us and check it out often.

Our 2011 Conference in Seattle, Wash., at the Renaissance Seattle Hotel this August will be very informative and worth the expense. I hate to use the word expense because, if you use and apply the information you receive, it will either keep you out of trouble or it will make you money and add value to your company.

One of the exciting events I know I’m looking forward to seeing is the Banquette and Awards night. This will be a dinner cruise with Argosy Cruises – to be precise, the Royal Argosy Sky Lounge – and it will definitely be a night to remember. The cruise will be between 3 ½ to 4 hours, plenty of time to eat and sightsee. Bring your spouse, friend, or employee to share the experience and unwind; relax, you worked hard, and now is the time to reward yourself.

I am happy to announce that we now have the ability to take credit card payments, so everyone can get in at the reduced rate. This payment method, if taken advantage of, should afford everyone the opportunity to attend without scrambling for money at the last minute. We will set a time, after which prices will go up, but those that opt in early and make payment under the terms will have plenty of time to pay for the conference at their own pace and cover their employees or spouses, easing the financial burden this year. If this proves to be successful, we will continue the system in the future.

The Conference Committee is looking for vendors and suppliers. Each year we have good support from those who that attend and, if you are interested, please contact me at (419) 663-2819 so I can get you in contact with the person who will handle your needs and answer your questions. The value is more than worth the simple inquiry: you will receive a one-year Associate Membership with your registration payment, you will get a 15-minute spotlight to address the attendees during the conference, and you will get to enjoy the dinner cruise and further networking with attendees.
