As the Glass Fire burns and threatens Napa Valley, CoreLogic’s 2020 Wildfire Risk Report analyzes both single-family and multifamily homes currently at risk of wildfire damage in the most wildfire-prone states.

As of July 2020, there have been 10 weather/climate disaster events with losses exceeding $1 billion in the US alone. Depending on the type of natural disaster faced, the remediation and cleanup from these events require specific care in order to maintain safety for those involved. 

Fire damage restoration work can be very profitable, while wowing customers with the end result. That said, contractors need effective processes and techniques to rebuild or restore a structure after a fire, and to fully remove the smoke odor for good.

In the fire restoration industry today, very little attention is given to the toxicity of volatile organic compounds (VOC’s), heavy metals, or the composition of particulate matter and smoke residues.

When you think about hoarding, there is an array of risks and dangers that come to mind – from cleanliness to injuries to air quality. Unfortunately, there’s another less obvious danger and hidden risk that causes both property damage and a lot of heartache for those involved.  Fire.
