For those of us who have accepted the responsibility of biohazard clean-up, there inevitably comes a time when your team will be called to a grizzly trauma scene. The IICRC will hold its 2018 Technical Conference Sept. 27-28, at the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The theme for this year’s conference will be ‘Trauma and Crime Scene Cleanup.’

Several years ago, the R&R team started talking about the idea of creating and building a new conference in the restoration industry. With so many conferences vying for time and resources of a relatively small, niche industry, we knew if we were going to start a conference, it had to be something different.

With the legalizing of marijuana for recreational use in many states and more coming on board, as restorers we can expect to see more cleaning jobs that involve this type of residue, especially in rental situations.
