TradeTalks: Unlocking The Experience

Carpet Cleaning, Restoration and Cycling

Super Tech University’s Eric Sprague discusses business growth, expanding services, and the importance of industry education

By Kayla McGowan
July 2, 2026

On this episode of TradeTalks: Unlocking The Experience, we’re joined by our day three keynote speaker, Eric Sprague, Owner of Super Tech University. You’ll learn about Eric, his journey, what he does in his spare time, and how he set a goal of becoming a keynote speaker at The Experience seven years ago.

Key highlights of this episode include:

  • Eric has been in home services since he was 15, he started by cleaning swimming pools for a large company in Maine, he then met his business partner Larry in college, started a carpet cleaning business, and eventually expanded into restoration.
  • His keynote is rooted to his passion. Eric believes that carpet cleaning and restoration are deeply connected. He will focus on helping cleaners and restorers see where the overlap is, and how each can add the right services without overcomplicating their businesses.
  • Three takeaways he wants attendees to leave with:
    • Cleaners can get into parts of restoration without it being scary or risky like many think it is.
    • Restorers can use cleaning to create their own work and build stronger client relationships.
    • Training and marketing matter. There are practical ways to position these services, so they help grow the business.
  • The Experience brings fresh energy, new vendors, strong education, and a real sense of community, and he strongly encourages the industry to make time to be there.
  • Fun fact: Eric is training for a two-week road biking trip in France this August, where he and two friends will climb several Tour de France mountain passes.

Eric’s keynote session takes place Friday, September 11 from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm. You can learn more about his session and view the agenda here. We will see you September 9-11, 2026, at The Paris Hotel & casino in Las Vegas, NV. To register, click here.
