Helixco Achieves SOC 2 Type II Compliance for Commercial Restoration

Clean audit confirms enterprise‑grade security for large loss operations

Helixco, a premier cloud-based platform for commercial restoration and large loss operations, today announced it has achieved SOC 2 Type II compliance in accordance with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

The certification comes after a rigorous observation period resulting in a “clean audit” with zero exceptions, a distinction that verifies Helixco’s internal controls operate with the highest level of reliability, security, and availability 100% of the time.

For the commercial restoration industry, where project documentation serves as the financial basis for insurance claims, data integrity is paramount. This achievement assures Helixco’s client base, including nationwide franchises, managed repair programs,  independent large loss firms, and carrier partners, that the platform and company meets the stringent vendor risk management requirements typically demanded by top-tier financial and insurance institutions.

Elevating Standards in Restoration Technology

While many software providers achieve Type I compliance (validating security design at a single point in time), Helixco’s Type II certification validates the operational effectiveness of those controls over an extended period.

“In commercial restoration, we aren't just managing jobs; we are acting as custodians of critical claim data. Achieving SOC 2 Type II compliance is more than an IT badge, it is a commitment to our partners that their data is vaulted, verifiable, and secure,” said Ray Bertka, CEO and Founder of Helixco. “This milestone removes barriers for enterprise clients and reinforces our ability to support the complex, high-stakes workflows that define large loss operations.”

Key Highlights of the Attestation:

  • Zero Exceptions: The independent audit found no deviations in Helixco’s security protocols during the observation window.
  • Enterprise Readiness: The certification aligns Helixco with the compliance standards of major insurance carriers, Managed Repair Programs and Third-Party Administrators (TPAs).
  • Operational Integrity: Validates that time-and-materials logging, documentation uploads, and communication workflows are protected against unauthorized access and data tampering.

Helixco will continue to undergo annual SOC 2 audits to ensure ongoing compliance with evolving security standards.

About Helixco: Helixco is a cloud-based software and services company dedicated to modernizing commercial restoration and large loss claims. By centralizing documentation, communication, and compliance workflows, Helixco helps organizations streamline complex projects and nationwide programs. The platform offers specialized tools for time and materials tracking, ensuring accuracy and transparency for contractors and carriers alike.
