Introducing AirGuard, LLC: A Proactive Approach to Mold Detection and Prevention

Blue Ridge Heating and Air launches AirGuard to detect and prevent mold in residential HVAC systems

Blue Ridge Heating and Air is proud to announce the launch of AirGuard, LLC, a new startup focused exclusively on the detection and prevention of mold in residential HVAC systems, crawl spaces, and interior living spaces.

AirGuard was developed by Chris Davidson and Ben Lagrange, the owners of Blue Ridge Heating and Air, after repeatedly discovering mold in the crawl spaces, ductwork, and HVAC systems of their customers' homes. Recognizing the urgent need for a dedicated solution, Davidson and Lagrange took their concept to a startup bootcamp hosted by The Platform at Greer last year. The program helped them evaluate their idea, refine their strategy, and define a clear path forward.

“Homeowners often don’t realize how quickly mold can grow and spread in hidden areas like ductwork and crawl spaces,” said Chris Davidson, co-founder of AirGuard. “With AirGuard, we’re offering a preventative service that identifies mold risks early and keeps homes safer.”

AirGuard specializes in early mold detection and prevention services, leveraging advanced monitoring and diagnostic tools to identify moisture and mold risks before they become serious problems. The company also offers technology to detect and classify various types of molds, not only in crawl spaces and ductwork, but also inside the home. This comprehensive approach gives homeowners a clearer understanding of potential health implications and the urgency of the issue. By focusing exclusively on mold, AirGuard provides peace of mind and long-term protection.

“Through our work at Blue Ridge Heating and Air, we saw firsthand how mold can silently impact a home,” added Ben Lagrange, co-founder of AirGuard. “AirGuard is our answer to that — a proactive service that helps prevent mold from ever taking hold.”
