Restoration & Remediation (R&R) is pleased to announce Kayla McGowan as the new Editor-in-Chief. In her new role, Kayla will lead the editorial direction and content strategy for R&R continuing to strengthen the brand while exploring and initiating innovative ways to educate and engage the restoration and remediation industry.

With nearly 10 years of experience in marketing and communications within the restoration sector, Kayla has demonstrated a passion for content creation, editing, and social media strategy. Her extensive background has given her a deep respect for the restoration industry and the essential work it provides. Kayla’s commitment to delivering valuable insights and actionable resources will play a key role in driving R&R forward.

As Editor-in-Chief, Kayla will oversee the development of content that informs and inspires restoration professionals. Her experience in the industry, combined with her drive to introduce new and impactful ways of engaging with the R&R audience, makes her a perfect fit for this leadership role. “I am honored to step into this role and contribute to R&R's long-standing tradition of delivering high-quality content,” said Kayla. “Having worked in various capacities throughout the industry, I’ve developed a profound appreciation for the work we do. I’m excited to collaborate with Darlene Balzano and the entire R&R team to continue providing valuable resources and fostering growth within the restoration community.”

In addition to her R&R Editor-in-Chief duties, Kayla will manage Content Strategy for the Experience Events bridging the cleaning and restoration industries.

Publisher Darlene Balzano remarked, "I met Kayla over five years ago when she worked at IICRC. She is an exceptional industry insider that has the curiosity and forethought to continue to build the R&R brand and unite the Experience Events audience. I am thrilled to have her as part of the team!”

Originally from sunny California and now residing in Las Vegas, Nevada, Kayla looks forward to connecting with professionals across the industry. She invites readers to share story ideas, insights, or simply introduce themselves as she works to further enhance the content and impact of R&R.
