Zeppelin Guys Announces AIRWALL® Flex Seal for Complete Enclosure During Flood Cuts

Zeppelin Guys is expanding its’ patented product portfolio for restoration applications with the AIRWALL Flex Seal. The Flex Seal is an impermeable barrier for sealing wall cavities when a flood cut has been performed.  Flex Seal is another example of Zeppelin’s innovative AIRWALL products that are re-usable, compact, easy-to-install and eliminate waste.

Proper negative air containment requires that the critical barriers be sealed completely. This includes the HVAC system as well as light switches and wall outlets among others. In addition, “Flood cuts are essentially superhighways of contamination,” said Keith Gangitano, Co-founder and CEO of Zeppelin Guys. “Flex Seal is a quick and cost-effective way to prevent unwanted spores and other bad actors from entering the affected space during a flood cut.

The current method for flood cuts requires use of plastic and tape, and occasionally other random construction materials such as insulation. Flex Seal also dramatically reduces staging and installation time. For example, a room with 24 bays, normally takes two hours, calculated as five minutes per bay times 24 bays.  Flex Seal requires five seconds per bay times 24 bays equals two minutes.

The Flex Seal can be used in 2’×4’ and 2’×6’ walls with wood or metal studs. It also works in the more common standard, 16” on center, and the less common 24” on center, used in some regions of the country.

Flex Seal is composed of flame-retardant material on the front and back that is intentionally white to match the color of the drywall. Clear PVC material on both ends keeps “paw prints” to a minimum and provides a place to insert the logo cards of the lead contractor. A soft, poly-fill, middle-layer ensures the tightest seal in the wall cavity and a structural internal spring provides both the shape and the tension that is needed to hold the Flex seal in place so the contractor can do the work.

Flex Seal is sold in packages of 10 for $399. Included is a soft carrying case that measures 24”x24”x5” that can be further compressed when needed.

Zeppelin offers customization so that the contractor can add their company colors and logo. These cards insert into the protective windows at the bottom edges of the Flex Seals and prominently displays those trademarks in every wall cavity while in use.
