Zeppelin Guys™ Introduces the Airwall Connex™ Product Family for Efficient Distribution of Air

Los Gatos, CA—Zeppelin Guys continues to add to its AIRWALL® product family with Connex and Connex +, easy-to-install connectors for precise, high-volume air distribution during restoration projects.

“If you are in restoration then you are in the business of moving air,” said Founder and CEO, Keith Gangitano. “Whether it is a fan, NAM/scrubber, dehumidifier, desiccant, or any of the heaters, injection dryers or mat systems, your job is to move air. More accurately, your job is to control air.”

THE PROBLEM: Ducting is just a tube, and tubes can only ever deliver their payload to one place. You can curve them (and hope they don’t kink) but unless you can couple one tube to one or more other tubes then one machine equals one outlet. This inhibits efficient distribution of air throughout the built environment.

THE REAL PROBLEM: Connecting something curved (the sidewall of lay flat), to something round (the end of lay flat) with something straight (tape), and making it seal is very difficult and tedious. That type of connection isn’t even possible with the semi-rigid reusable ducting. There is also difficulty connecting ducting to the output of various machines using the wide variety of ducting options.

THE CURRENT SOLUTION: In some cases, restorers must rely on metal ducting that is heavy, bulky and expensive, while it also cuts hands, scratches floors, is too heavy to hang over head and can be easily bent and damaged. Or they just cut and tape and cobble something together using zip ties, staples, hose clamps, etc.

THE CONNEX SOLUTION:

  • Connex is a single input/output straight coupling (or adapter). Connex+ is a four-way adapter that can take a source and split it up to three ways, in any direction
  • Designed to work seamlessly with any ducting from 4” to 12”, both Connex are also compatible with larger ducting options and are capable of moving up to 2000 CFM.
  • Connex/Connex+ supports lay flat for a reliable connection and facilitates a sidewall interface of large trunk lines with smaller feeder lines or an improvised port through the wall of a plastic containment barrier.
  • It is compatible with most commonly-used ducting options and most sources of air.
  • The quick drawstring connection achieves a compound, 360° bite for strength and reliability.
  • Connex/Connex+ is easily stored in a 14” round by 3” thick space
  • It is lightweight at 1 lb for Connex and two lbs. for Connex+
  • Reusable
  • Machine washable
  • Chemical/abrasion resistant

Both Connex include an easily identifiable storage bag

Pricing for Connex is $99 and $249 for Connex+.
