Hurricane Season Preparedness

By Myldred Ingram
August 1, 2024

R&R had the pleasure of speaking with Harley Jeanise, Regional Vice President at First Onsite Property Restoration. We spoke about the topic of discussion: how to stay safe amid storms and what it will entail to restore the damage after.

One of Harley’s offices for First Onsite is in the central region (Dallas), and more than 40 thousand homes and businesses across Texas were still in the dark as of last Tuesday, according to poweroutage.us, ever since the hurricane slammed its life-threatening storm surge into the region.

Beryl, which escalated from a tropical storm to a hurricane, brought storm surge flooding, inland flooding from rain, damaging wind gusts and even tornadoes to parts of the south-central United States into Tuesday.

Even though other areas may not have been hit as hard, the discussion of hurricane season preparedness is still important no matter the region the restoration contractor is in.
