On Sept. 11, Gold Star Property Restoration of Troy, Mich., attended the Troy City Council meeting to present a $2,000 donation check. The donation was thanks to money collected during the company's inaugural Family Fun for Charity Day.

Gold Star brought in bounce houses, had a barbecue, and spent the day celebrating the local community - and raising money for the Troy Fire and Police Benevolent Association. The local police department, fire department, city council, department of public works, and many others were at the event that was well-attended by families in the local area. Gold Star says this will definitely be an annual event moving forward.
