R&R IICRC Monthly Update — April 2016

Inaugural IICRC Restoration Technical Conference & Symposium THIS MONTH!

The IICRC’s Restoration Technical Conference & Symposium is this month! Are you, or did you, attending? Jointly sponsored by the Journal of Cleaning, Restoration & Inspectionand the Cleaning Industry Research Institute (CIRI), the conference is April 10 – 11, at the Georgia Tech Hotel & Conference Center in Atlanta.

The inaugural IICRC Restoration Conference & CIRI Symposium features cutting-edge presentations from leading scientists based on original research and reviews of existing research. There are also be lively panel presentations and discussions about the new IICRC S500 and S520 standards, ISSA Clean Standards, as well as a preview of a new fire/smoke standard.

Call for Standards Consensus Body Members:

The IICRC standards team is actively seeking volunteers from all interest categories of the industry to serve on consensus bodies for the following Standards and Reference Guides: 

ANSI/IICRC S100:Standard and IICRC R100 Reference Guide for Professional Cleaning of Textile Floor Coverings

New Standard -BSR-IICRC S400: Standard for Professional Cleaning, Maintenance and Restoration of the Built Environment

ANSI/IICRC S500:Standard and IICRC R500 Reference Guide for Professional Water Damage Restoration

ANSI/IICRC S520:Standard and R520 Reference Guide for Professional Mold Remediation

New Standard -BSR-IICRC S550: Standard for Professional Water Damage Restoration of Commercial Structures

ANSI/IICRC S800:Standard and R800 Reference Guide for Professional Inspection of Textile Floor Coverings

Those interested in submitting an application to participate in any of the consensus bodies listed above should visit www.iicrc.org/standards, then download and complete the application form and email the completed forms back to Mili Washington, IICRC Standards Director, at mili@iicrc.org.

Applications will be accepted through April 30. Please note: separate completed application forms are required for each consensus body.
