Paul Davis National names Swiggum president

August 18, 2011

Jacksonville, FL – August 18, 2011 - Paul Davis National, the large loss specialists for Paul Davis Restoration, has named Lloyd Swiggum as president of the company. Swiggum will be responsible for overseeing the commercial and industrial property damage restoration organization and assisting customers following flooding, fires, earthquakes, tornadoes, wind damage and other catastrophic events. Swiggum joins the company to grow the large loss segment of the business for the franchise which operates throughout the United States.

Paul Davis National is the commercial arm of the Paul Davis Restoration Inc. franchise system and specializes in the large loss aspect of the industry and works in tandem with other franchise offices. The company is a full service provider and offers customers services in emergency mitigation, restoration, reconstruction and repairs along with remodeling of small to large projects.

Previously, Swiggum served as president for a Fort Worth, TX -based full service, global disaster recovery company which specializes in structural and content cleaning, including fire and smoke restoration, water remediation and dehumidification, mold remediation, document recovery and other related services. Swiggum was responsible for overseeing the commercial and industrial property damage restoration organization and assisting customers following fires, floods, earthquakes, and other catastrophic events. During this time, he developed and implemented a new internal structure to solidify a long-term growth initiative. He also implemented an internal progression in the organization which led to a turnaround initiative and increased sales from a few million in revenue to it highest point in company history.

Swiggum has additional experience as a business broker and consultant in disaster recovery, construction, environmental, franchise, cleaning, and general business industries. During his career, he also served as an executive in advertising, sales and marketing, and operations to name a few. As a global catastrophe expert in the restoration field, Swiggum has responded to international events including 9-11, Hurricane Katrina, the Tsunami, and numerous hurricanes and tornadoes.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Texas Lutheran University in Seguin, TX. Swiggum has been a member of the Property Loss Research Bureau (PLRB) and has served on the organization’s Executive Council Board. He has also been a member of the Building, Owners and Management Association (BOMA), International Franchise Association (IFA), and Risk Insurance and Management Society (RIMS). Swiggum and his wife Jan, reside in Fort Worth and are active members of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fort Worth where they have been members for more than 20 years. They have six children and nine grandchildren.

According to Howdy Russell, Paul Davis National partner and corporate spokesperson, Swiggum’s extensive background in the large loss contract and emergency mitigation and restoration services industry is an asset to the company. “We welcome Lloyd to our team and appreciate his solid foundation in executive management practices,” said Russell. “We look forward to Lloyd’s focus on increasing our brand awareness and expanding our customer base.”
