Indoor Air Expo to Double in Size in 2009
The Air Conditioning Contractors of America and the Indoor Air Quality Association have announced that the two organizations will hold their annual meetings at the same time in 2009, and the two meetings will share the tradeshow known as the Indoor Air Expo, doubling the expo in size and scope.
ACCA is a nationwide non-profit trade association representing the business, technical and policy interests of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration contracting businesses. IAQA is a non-profit professional organization dedicated to the exchange of indoor environmental information through research and education.
the 2009 Indoor Air Expo will be held Feb. 24-26, 2009 at the Fort Worth Convention Center in Fort Worth, Texas. At the same time, the ACCA will conduct its 41st Annual Conference at the Convention Center, while the IAQA will hold its 14th Annual Meeting across the street at the Omni Fort Worth Hotel.
Based on an analysis of recent shows conducted by the ACCA and the IAQA, it is expected that the 2009 Indoor Air Expo will draw more than 3,000 attendees and over 350 exhibitors.
“The Indoor Air Expo has grown significantly over the past few years in conjunction with the ACCA Conference,” Paul T. Stalknecht, ACCA president and CEO, said. “It has become the leading showcase in the HVACR industry, bringing suppliers together with contracting business decision makers to share and learn from each other.
“Bring IAQA in to hold their meeting at the same time, and to co-sponsor the Expo, means that Fort Worth in 2009 will be the biggest sources of education, networking and learning opportunities ever seen in the indoor air industry. We are thrilled about the opportunities presented by this partnership for contractors, suppliers and IAQ professionals nationwide,” he said.
Glenn Fellmann, IAQA executive director, added, “This is a partnership that is fully consistent with the mission of IAQA, which is to bring together the diverse professions and trade that make up the indoor environmental industry. We are excited about the new opportunities for our members and exhibitors, and we believe Fort Worth 2009 will go down as a landmark moment in the IAQ industry and profession.”
The 2008 Indoor Air Expo will be held in conjunction with the 40th Annual ACCA Conference, Feb. 5-7, 2008 at the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs, Colo. IAQA is holding its 2007 Annual Meeting & Exposition in Las Vegas Oct. 14-17.
