IAQA Installs New Directors and Officers
The Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA) installed newly elected directors and officers at its 13th Annual Meeting & Exposition in Tampa, FL.
Each year, IAQA elects directors to serve three-year terms of service on the association’s board. Newly elected to the board is Daniel Greenblatt, ASCS, CMR (Envirotech Clean Air, Inc., Stoneham, MA). Re-elected to serve second terms as directors are Wane A. Baker, P.E., CIH (Michaels Engineering, La Crosse, WI) and Wei Tang, PhD (QLab, Cherry Hill, NJ).
IAQA officers are elected by the board of directors for one-year terms. Carl Grimes, CIEC (Healthy Habitats LLC, Denver, CO) was elected president. Wane A. Baker was elected first vice president. Ian Cull, P.E., CIEC, CMC (Indoor Sciences, Inc., Chicago, IL) and Derrick Denis, CIEC, CIAQP (Clark Seif Clark, Inc., Tempe, AZ) were elected as vice presidents. Donald Weekes, CIH, CSP (InAIR Environmental, Ltd., Ottawa, Ontario) was elected treasurer and Glenn Fellman (Indoor Environment Communications, Rockville, MD) was elected secretary.
Director and officer election results were announced at the IAQA General Membership Meeting held March 8 at the Embassy Suites Downtown Tampa. IAQA also paid tribute to outgoing director Mr. Mark DeLisle (DeLisle & Associates, Portage, MI).
Thomas Yacobellis (Ductz, Dunedin, FL) who served three years as IAQA president (2002-2004 and 2008) and 12 years on the IAQA board, was awarded IAQA Lifetime membership. He is among only six individuals to ever receive that distinction.
Special appreciation was also expressed to IAQA immediate past president Andrew C. Äsk, P.E. (Andrew C. Äsk, P.E., Consulting Engineer, Cape Coral, FL), who remains a member of the IAQA board.
