Kent Berg

Kent Berg is the Consensus Body chair of the S540-2017. He has spent 20 years dedicated to the research and practical application of cleaning and disinfection practices within the scope of biological health hazards. He has provided testing, consulting and decontamination services for properties that sustained contamination from pathogens, disease outbreaks, clandestine drug labs, trauma scenes and other biohazard risks. 

Berg serves as Director of the National Institute of Decontamination Specialists. He produces and teaches specialty restoration courses in decontamination of crime scenes, meth labs and environmental disinfection. He has trained over 900 companies from the U.S., Canada, Portugal, Australia, U.K. and New Zealand; and has provided countless others with technical assistance.
