When it comes to dealing with a fire there are many challenges. And if you find yourself in a situation where you are dealing with a homeowner who has been hoarding, there will be unique challenges that you will need to navigate.

Donetta Held is someone many would consider a pioneer in proper meth remediation techniques. Meth decontamination carries a unique set of challenges restoration companies would not likely face on a traditional fire, flood, mold, or other job.

The restoration industry has lost one of its trailblazers. Hubert T. Carpenter, known to his friends as Butch, passed away on April 11 2016 in his home in Lincoln (Sacramento), Calif., with his wife Michelle and daughters Nicole and Jaclyn by his side.

When I was approached about addressing the topic of bedbugs for this issue of R&R, I instantly knew I wanted to put product and remediation talk aside. This article has a very difference focus that in many ways is more important.
