Helixco and Contractor Connection Partner on Commercial Loss Training at the Pro Football Hall of Fame
A three-day training program that prepares contractors for large-loss work

Helixco, the restoration-industry training and technology company, will host a three-day Commercial Loss Training program May 12–14, 2026, in partnership with co-host Contractor Connection. The program is designed to prepare qualified restoration contractors for Contractor Connection's new commercial and large-loss contractor program, set to launch in June 2026.
The 2.5-day curriculum covers the full arc of a commercial loss engagement: building a defensible Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM), live software training in Helixco's Helix platform, a hands-on team exercise built around a real commercial facility (Pro Football Hall of Fame, field documentation standards, terms and conditions, large-loss time-and-material billing, hygienist and environmental-controls coordination, and more. Attendees will build a complete ROM as teams during the class and present it for instructor critique. The same discipline they will carry into live assignments.
The program brings together a cross-section of specialists in restoration operations, documentation, science, and claims. Instructors include Mike Allred, CEO of Helixco; John Handy, who leads Helix software training; and April Phillips, who will present a live software demonstration. Guest speakers include Paul Silliman of Clean Claims on job documentation, remote monitoring, and room scans; Ken Bezar of ProKlean Solutions will cover deodorization and IICRC S700 protocols; Jacob Colson of Ensolum will cover the importance hygienist coordination, moisture mapping, standard of care, and environmental controls.
“Commercial losses are won or lost on the scope you build in the first 48 hours and the discipline you bring to every document after that,” said Allred. “This class is built to give contractors both. By the time they walk out on the third day, they will have built a defensible ROM from real floor plans, operated the Helix platform end-to-end, and learned how to justify their work against any consultant or adjuster. That is what the new program from Contractor Connection is going to demand, and that is what we are preparing people to deliver.”
Attendees who complete the program will receive a certificate of completion, which Contractor Connection will require for contractors participating in its commercial and large-loss program when it launches in June 2026. The program is designed to assign qualified contractors to commercial disaster restoration projects through the Contractor Connection network.
Seating is limited. Registration details, sponsor information, and curriculum overview are available at helixco.com/commercial-loss-training or by contacting the Helixco team directly.
