The Wagner Group Announces Availability of Sprayers to Apply EPA List N Disinfectants to Combat COVID-19

Industry News
May 14, 2020

To help remediation specialists, cleaning professionals, and business owners combat the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the Wagner Group today announced the availability of select sprayers for applying EPA List N disinfectant solutions recommended for use against the virus.

A global expert in spraying surface coatings, the Wagner Group’s mission is to bring color, protection and function to surfaces. Within the Wagner Group’s product portfolio, select Wagner DIY sprayers and Titan contractor sprayers are tested and proven to apply common alcohol- and water-based virucidal liquid disinfectants in mist form, creating a complete coating over a variety of surfaces quickly and easily. A list of disinfectants suitable for spraying is available here.

While remediation professionals have relied on airless and HVLP sprayers to apply disinfectant for decades, the need has never been greater. To combat COVID-19, spray systems are being used to apply disinfectant to high-touch surfaces in a variety of applications, from health care facilities to grocery shopping carts. In the coming months, millions of square feet of space will need to be treated.

For this reason, disinfectant manufacturers connected with the Wagner Group to help meet the current and impending high demand for sprayers across the U.S. The company is responding by raising awareness and ramping up production of Wagner and Titan sprayers suitable for spraying disinfectants.

“COVID-19 has created a critical need for sprayers to apply EPA List N disinfectants,” said Greg McGuirk, president of Wagner Group’s North America Division. “Remediation specialists and cleaning professionals are among the many unsung heroes essential to mitigating the spread of the disease. Our Wagner and Titan brands have a unique opportunity to help them by providing spray systems to tackle a variety of disinfectant applications.”

The Wagner Group offers a sprayer for every type of job, such as public transportation; police/fire stations and vehicles; correctional facilities; schools and universities; health care facilities and ambulances; hotels and convention centers; entertainment venues; office spaces; public restrooms; retail outlets, shopping carts and restaurants; hair and nail salons; playground equipment; and fitness centers.

Depending on the size and scale of the project, the following spray systems are recommended for applying disinfectant:
•    Small projects – Wagner FLEXiO series and Titan FlexSpray handheld sprayers. MSRP $149.99 - $499.99
•    Medium projects – Wagner Control Pro series and Titan ControlMax series sprayers. MSRP $249.99 - $449.99.
•    Large projects – Select Impact, Elite and PowrTwin spray systems. MSRP $1,060 - $6,010.

Additional information about Wagner sprayers can be found here and they can be purchased at home improvement stores and online retail websites. Additional information about Titan sprayers and where they can be purchased can be found here.

Prior to applying disinfectant of any kind, consult the material manufacturer’s guidelines and industry experts for recommendations on wearing personal protective equipment and processes.
