Meet the Newest Members of Restoration 1's Growing Leadership Team

Restoration 1®  has announced the addition of four new hires to its leadership team to help support the growing organization across two franchise networks: Restoration 1, one of the most-trusted restoration franchises in North America, and the newly-acquired bluefrog Plumbing + Drain®.

Kurt Lee Hurley has been named Vice President and Director of Marketing for both brands. Hurley brings more than two decades of experience in growth-focused digital and traditional marketing, communications, public relations, business development, e-commerce and executive management experience.

Thomas Dougherty will serve as the new Vice President of Sales Training for both brands. He joins the organization with over 24 years of experience in the Home Service industry with a focus on the service professional experience in carpet cleaning, restoration and sales management experience. Working directly with the sales team, he will focus on training them and enabling them to perform at their peak.

James Schmidt will assume the duties of Director of National Accounts for both brands. He comes to Restoration 1 with over 10 years of experience in account management, marketing and sales in the telecommunications, healthcare, manufacturing and contracting industries. During the aftermath of the Baton Rouge flooding from Hurricane Matthew, he helped with restoration efforts of 2 multi-million-dollar projects.

Dan Thrush has been appointed to Restoration 1 Franchise Consultant. Thrush brings over 20 years of management experience to the team. With a background that includes 10 years of working on small cleaning projects and large restoration losses, including fire and water damage, pack outs, content cleaning, mold and air ducts. Thrush will use his immense knowledge of the restoration industry to guide franchisees through their journey.

"Each of these amazing professionals bring years of experience to the table that will help ensure the future growth of our organization, nationally and globally, across multiple brands,” said Gary Findley, CEO of Restoration 1 and bluefrog Plumbing + Drain. “As we continue to attract a record number of prospects who want to be a part of our successful and fast-growing service brands, these men will guide the teams that interact on a daily basis with them.”
