Dan and Art are continuing their series on team building, with another episode focused on onboarding. After the initial hiring of a new team member, the onboarding process or orientation is the obvious next step, and critically important to effectively bring a new person into the company.

In the past, onboarding was little more than giving people the keys to a truck and telling then what job they're heading to for the day. Today, things are much different. Today, people need to know things like your mission statement, your culture, the background of your business and why you do what you do every day, and so on. They also need to feel valued, mentored, and see the potential for learning and growth.
