Spex – a mobile property inspection platform for insurance and construction professionals – has just announced insurance claims industry veteran Steve Leger is joining the company in the role of Executive Vice President of Sales and Business Development.

"I'm thrilled to join the Spex team," said Steve Leger. "The year is barely out of the gates and there are already major product innovations in the works that will set Spex apart from the crowd. Insurance tech is a field that's growing and changing daily. Spex is leading the industry in property inspection solutions."

Leger is a highly experienced and talented veteran of the insurance and restoration industries. His previous roles have included senior level positions at Servpro, PuroClean and Mohawk Industries. Steve will focus on sales and business development at Spex, working with industry businesses to identify partnership opportunities and solutions.

Spex is increasingly used for both underwriting and claims-related inspections, most notably catastrophe claims where inexperience is common. Spex helps ensure quality inspection documentation with universally understood building materials. The Spex Report™ provides valuable documentation to write better estimates, facilitate denial paperwork and collaborate with service providers and policyholders.

"We're grateful and excited to have Steve Leger as part of our business," said Brett Goldberg, CEO of Spex. "Steve is an accomplished executive in the P&C industry and has the experience necessary to make Spex an important solution for businesses we hope to work with in the future."

"I've had the pleasure of knowing and working with Steve Leger for many years in the property claims industry and he has proven himself as a leader in restoration and technology innovation and delivery of some of the most productive solutions for all claims professionals," said Bernie Tobin, Vice President of Sales and Account Management for Cunningham Lindsey. "Spex is fortunate to have Steve's experience and corporate leadership."
