Do you have a coworker who you think would make a great public speaker? Do you think you could entertain the masses at The Experience Convention and Trade Show this fall in Las Vegas? Well, now is your chance to find out.

The Experience is putting a call out to anyone actively working in the restoration or cleaning business who wants to give public speaking a shot. There are only four speaking positions available -- and organizers are looking for four industry professionals who can give a dynamic presentation about their company, experience or innovative ideas for the industry. Case studies will have priority in the selection process, but anyone wanting to talk about their own personal achievements will be tossed out. No previous experience is required, and professional speakers are not allowed. Plus, competitors will get a 90 minute coaching session before the actual convention.

Here's a look at some possible topics:

  1. Subjects related to restoration operations
  2. Subjects related to cleaning operations
  3. Great successes in marketing
  4. Important management systems or programs
  5. How to build an outstanding company
  6. Other! Tell the organizers what you want to talk about.

The Experience will be using three judges from the cleaning and restoration industries to select the most dynamic and interesting subjects. They will judge presentations on content, value, innovation, style, influence and impact.

To enter, submit two to three paragraphs about your presentation, including a title, plus a short bio of yourself, a photo and your industry experience to larry@experiencetheevents.com by the end of June.

On July 1, organizers of The Experience will choose the four speakers they feel will do the best job based on their entries. Those four will each have 20 minutes to speak at The Experience on Wednesday afternoon. The audience is encouraged to listen then vote by paper ballot or online. The votes are also given to the judges for their consideration.

The winner will be announced at the pool party. First place gets $1,500 in cash, plus there will be prizes for second and third place.
