Insurance: it’s a necessary evil, a word most people love to hate. However, when disaster strikes, people are very glad they have it.

Unfortunately, many times people feel they need to put up their defenses as soon as the fire is out, the storm is over or the plumbing leak stopped and the insurance company contacted. Why do so many people look at insurance in this regard? Well, we hate to make the monthly payments, which can be hundreds if not thousands of dollars a year, and when we do have a claim we feel we are going to be put through the wringer by the insurance company or the restoration contractor doing the repairs.
