IICRC Board Elects 2010 Executive Committee

October 22, 2009

VANCOUVER, Wash. – October 22, 2009 – The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (www.IICRC.org) elected the 2010 Board of Directors and Executive Committee during its recent October meeting in Vancouver, Wash.

Paul Pearce, National Carpet Cleaners Association (NCCA, U.K.), was elected chairman of the IICRC Board of Directors following his successful term as IICRC President, in which he oversaw the selection of the first paid president for the organization. In this capacity, Pearce will also serve as Chairman of the Executive Committee. Additional committee officers elected during the annual meeting were: Darrell Paulson, First Vice President; Mike Reed, Second Vice president, Professional Cleaning & Restoration Alliance (PCRA); David Jones, International Vice President, National Upholstery and Carpet Cleaners Association (NUCCA - AU); Ed Hobbs, Treasurer, Mid South Professional Cleaners Association (MSPCA); Barry Lichtenstein, Secretary, New England Institute of Restoration & Cleaning (NEIRC); and Barry Costa, Chairman of the Certification Council. Patrick Winters will continue to serve as IICRC President and CEO.

“The past year has been a year of transition for the IICRC. We were extremely pleased to bring on Patrick Winters as the organization’s first paid president and our Executive Committee has worked hard over the past year to move the IICRC forward,” said Pearce. “I’m confident that in the next year, our Board of Directors, Executive Committee and supporting staff will continue to lead the IICRC down a successful path, looking to further engage our registrants and educate the public.”
