S. Joseph Pampinella, Jr. has been named national account manager for Moisture Control Services (MCS), a division of Munters AB. MCS’ global division offers complete services for water and fire damage restoration and remediation, and for temporary climate control in construction, industrial, surface preparation and coating, and preservation applications. Munters AB is a publicly owned company, based in Stockholm, Sweden.

Pampinella will be responsible for developing major accounts with a focus on property damage response, temporary humidity control and disaster recovery for the insurance, property management and industrial segments. He will utilize his experience in contingency planning, prevention and compliance in combination with his environmental, response and logistic experience to provide effective event resolution.  His office will be based in Anthem, Ariz.

          Previously, Pampinella was senior vice president of CNS Management Corporation, a consulting firm offering claims, risk management and consulting services to real estate investment trusts, insurance, claims adjusters and investment groups.  

          Prior to that position, Pampinella served with C2T Group, LTD., a New York-based consulting firm providing compliance solutions for major facilities, focusing on environmental, insurance, works compensation, safety and regulatory compliance issues.

          He also was director of continuing education at Briarcliff College for Business, vice president of operations at an insurance firm, and held key management positions for a major oil spill response contractor.

Pampinella is a recognized expert in event and compliance mitigation for inland and marine pollution; hazardous material responses and prevention; and project compliance for environmetal health and safety issues. He has developed emergency action plans, policy procedures, drills, training and documentation for OPA ’90, OSHA HAZWOPER, EPA, CAA, CWA, USCG, ISO and DOT compliance programs for a variety of clients. Pampinella holds a master’s degree in business administration from Long Island University at C.W. Post Campus in Brookville, New York, and holds several certificates in the field of hazardous material handling.

He is a former Hazwoper Certified Environmental Trainer (CET) through the National Environmental Training Association (NETA) and holds OSHA outreach training certification for construction, advanced SWPPP traning, Opacity Certificaiton, HAZWOPER instructor and competency in confined space and excavation.
