Heathrow, Florida (PRWEB) – The
Linders Health Institute, the nation’s primary provider of education and
certification for building professionals who work in healthcare environments,
is pleased to announce the company’s sponsorship of and participation in a
special, one-day educational conference, “Infection Control and the Changing
Environmental Remediation Landscape.” The conference, hosted by the

Sheraton New York in New York City.
According to Marlene Linders,
President and CEO of The Linders Health Institute, the conference is one of the
first of its type to be put on by the Environmental Contractors Association.
“We worked with ECA to design a very powerful conference agenda, one that will
benefit professionals in the environmental, construction, and facilities
industries.” Dr. Kerry M. Schwartz, Patient Safety Officer for Infection
Control at Florida Hospital North in Orlando, will offer a special presentation
on Emerging Infectious Diseases in the Environment; and Ms. Linders will
moderate a panel discussion to address the Incidence of Infection Control in
Public and Private Buildings.
The conference features two
panel discussions in the morning, and New York City Councilman Jim Gennaro,
chairman of the Council’s Committee on Environmental Protection, will address
conference attendees, as well. Councilman Gennaro is a widely-recognized
advocate for the city’s environmental health. He has promoted legislation at
the state level to protect the watershed that supplies New York City’s drinking
water, and has led efforts to enact a lengthy list of Local Laws intended to
develop a sustainable environment, improve local air and water quality, protect
wetlands areas and reduce the city’s carbon footprint.
Sponsors and event partners include
Philders Group International and The Linders Health Institute, as well as Test
America, one of the country’s leading environmental testing firms, and Emlab
P&K, specialists in lab analysis for mold, bacteria, asbestos and
allergens. Vendors, companies and individuals associated with the environmental
health industry will be available throughout the day to discuss their products
and processes with conference participants at the exhibitors’ show. Conference
registration includes breakfast and lunch and admission to all sessions.
