Contractor Connection Comes and Goes in the Nick of Time: The R&R Recap

15th annual event was held from May 21-23 in San Antonio

By Eric Fish
May 28, 2013

The Contractor Connection Conference & Expo has experienced a bit of bad luck lately. In 2012, an explosion in the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center just outside of Nashville on the eve of the show’s kick-off forced the cancellation of the expo hall portion of the show. In 2010, the event had to be rescheduled to Washington D.C. after the river flooded out the Opryland resort hotel.

So this year, with it being in San Antonio, Contractor Connection was due for a break, right?

Arguably, it caught a huge break this year, as about 10 inches of rain fell around San Antonio on Saturday, May 25, two days after the show dispersed. Reports all indicate that most of downtown was spared from the rain’s impact, yet the area flooding could have made getting into and out of town a struggle.

So let’s all be thankful that the event went off without a hitch this year, as it was a terrific couple of days in Texas.

With that, let’s proceed to our micro-blogging recap of Contractor Connection. We came to the show, we saw the Alamo and we had a great time networking with industry peers. Check it out:
