Here’s an update from the organizers of Crawford Contractor Connection:

“As you are aware, the Gaylord Opryland experienced a gas leak explosion due to a mechanical failure. Fortunately, there were no injuries and the Gaylord did a terrific job in handling this unfortunate incident.

 Hotel management and security have assured us of the safety of the hotel property and ability to resume the Contractor Connection 2012 Conference. Therefore, we will be proceed with the majority of the planned schedule of events.

 Due to the unavailability of some of the meeting space, and the late night experienced by all, the following changes have been made to the conference schedule. Please refer to hotel reader boards for the latest detail and times of events.

1. The Wednesday golf tournament has been cancelled. Refunds will be made. The golf course is open to those who want to schedule tee times on their own.
2. All training and workshops schedule for Wednesday have been cancelled.
3. The Welcome Reception is being moved to the Tennessee ballroom and will start at 5:00 pm and conclude at 9:00 p.m. We are extending the hours to allow more networking time.
4. The Exhibitor expo has been cancelled this year as The Expo Hall is not available to us. A separate communication regarding refunds will be sent to all exhibitors shortly.
5. The Conference Registration desk will open at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
6. The Thursday and Friday General Sessions will proceed as planned.
7. The Thursday night social event at the Wildhorse will proceed as planned.

 Thank you for your patience and understanding of this unfortunate incident that was beyond anyone’s control. We appreciate the level of professionalism shown by all. We look forward to resuming the conference and having another wonderful event.”
