Special Projects Editor Zack Owensby has worked in the communications department at Servpro Industries, LLC in Gallatin, Tenn., for two years. Previous to joining SERVPRO HQ, he spent 12 years in local media as a writer, photographer, graphic designer and editor, winning multiple state press association awards in general excellence, investigative reporting, local features, makeup and appearance, and graphic design. In addition to being IICRC certified, his passion is to share the stories of SERVPRO teammates throughout the U.S. and Canada.

SERVPRO of Southeast Nashville responded to a historic church after a fire damaged a large portion of its sanctuary. A heater caused the curtains to catch fire, which spread to the walls, damaging drywall, plaster, the stage, roofing tiles and deposited smoke and soot onto the pews, throughout the structure.
