The IICRC will hold its third-annual 2018 Technical Conference Sept. 27-28, at the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The theme for this year’s conference will be ‘Trauma and Crime Scene Cleanup.’

The Cleaning Industry Research Institute (CIRI) has announced new initiatives, including an updated mission and the hiring of John Downey as its executive director.
The IICRC Board of Directors recently held elections for its 2018 Executive Committee. Members include Pete Duncanson, chair; Kevin Pearson, chair-elect; Craig Kersemeier, first vice president; Jeff Bishop, second vice president; Steve Moran, treasurer; and Matt Cole, secretary.
With online training in Spanish, the hope is to bridge the gap for bilingual students, thus helping students prepare for field work and IICRC certification courses.
