Restoration and Remediation Industry News

ICP Introduces Environmental Restoration Group

Industry News
July 16, 2019

ICP Building Solutions Group (BSG), a global leader in high-performance professional products, has announced the formation of its new Environmental Restoration Group, uniting its trusted Benefect and Fiberlock brands to deliver restoration and remediation professionals comprehensive solutions for every need.

Benefect, a world-recognized leader in next-generation botanical antimicrobials, and Fiberlock, a total solution for abatement and restoration, have each been utilized the world over to tackle the toughest remediation challenges. By bringing both brands together as the Environmental Restoration Group, ICP BSG is better positioned to deliver its customers the right products for their every unique restoration challenge.

“The Environmental Restoration Group is an exciting new part of our story,” said Sam DeAth, founder of Benefect and Vice President of the Environmental Restoration Group. “Both Fiberlock and Benefect have unique advantages, enabling both brands to continue as market leaders. Our intent in forming this new group is to preserve those advantages while offering our customers broader, more comprehensive solutions for any environmental challenge they may be facing all while providing performance, perfecting safety, and pursuing solutions.”

Environmental Restoration Group products can be applied to the toughest jobs, including mold remediation, water, sewage and fire damage, trauma and crime scene decontamination, asbestos abatement, lead abatement and mobile containment. Products are intended to follow the

Environmental Restoration Group’s Clean. Kill. Coat™ methodology, used by professionals everywhere to reliably tackle mold and remediation work.

  • Clean. Clean the affected surface with the appropriate Environmental Restoration Group product solution, targeting soils and stains in porous, semi-porous and nonporous materials.
  • Kill. Treat the affected surface with one of the Environmental Restoration Group’s EPA- registered disinfectant sanitizers to eliminate mold and mildew spores and related odors.
  • Coat. After microbial threats have been eliminated, a final antimicrobial coating is used to inhibit the future growth of mold and mildew ensuring a lifetime of protection.

Fiberlock has led the field for 35 years with an advanced suite of restoration products to address the full spectrum of environmental health and safety issues. Benefect remains the first and only government registered, authentically botanical disinfectant technology delivering the benefits of premium disinfectant technology without risk for children, pets, contractors or the environment.

“Our goal is simple: to provide the most effective, safest, and most comprehensive line of restoration and remediation solutions to our customers,” DeAth added. “The Environmental Restoration Group will continue to support our customers with Benefect and Fiberlock solutions, while continuing to pursue new ways to help people get back to normal with safe and effective, science-based products.”

Benefect and Fiberlock are each backed by MasterWorks, the building and construction industry’s most comprehensive product training and education program, available exclusively to ICP BSG stakeholders. With MasterWorks, our customers receive access to expert training, special promotions and a variety of unique growth tools to drive their businesses.
