FLIR ONE® Pro-Series Debuts with New, Lower-Cost Pro Model for Smartphones and Tablets

new flir
July 17, 2018

FLIR Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: FLIR) announced today the launch of the FLIR ONE Pro LT, creating a new series of professional-level thermal imaging attachments for smartphones. The FLIR ONE Pro LT features with many of the professional-level tools that define the FLIR ONE Pro, such as VividIRTM image processing technology, FLIR MSX® enhancement, and the patented FLIR OneFitTM connector—but at a lower price-point.

Powered by FLIR's Lepton(R) thermal microcamera core, the FLIR ONE Pro LT builds on the advanced features of the FLIR ONE Pro. Key tools include FLIR MSX image enhancement, which combines the thermal and a high-definition visible camera images to produce crisp, detailed images that are easy to interpret. Combining MSX with FLIR VividIR video signal processing technology allows all the FLIR ONE Pro-Series models to deliver improved thermal image quality and clarity. The OneFit camera connector can be adjusted by up to four millimeters, so users can attach the device to their smartphone while still in most protective cases.

With the release of the FLIR ONE Pro LT comes an update to the FLIR ONE App, which produces even sharper, vivid images. This useful app is packed with tools such as multiple spot temperature meters and selectable onscreen temperature tracking regions, and offers helpful tips for problem solving and use-cases. Smartwatch compatibility with the Apple Watch and select Android smartwatches, providing the ability to stream live thermal imagery to see around corners and take images or video from your smartwatch.

“Since FLIR Systems Inc. first introduced the FLIR ONE line of thermal cameras for smartphones in 2014, the product has evolved to serve the unique needs of a broad set of professionals, providing an easy-to-use and affordable thermal camera that ultimately benefits the bottom line,” said Frank Pennisi, president, Industrial Business Unit, FLIR Systems. “The FLIR ONE Pro LT represents the next stage of the product line evolution by placing pro features, such as VividIR and a ruggedized case, into the hands of more professionals at just a fraction of the cost.”

FLIR ONE Pro LT, with an MSRP of $299, is available for pre-order worldwide today for iOS, Android (USB-C) or Android (Micro-USB) at www.flir.com/flirone.
