The RIA has issued a call for papers for its 70th International Restoration Convention to be held at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas from May 6-8, 2015. Presentations are specifically requested on human resources and legal issues, business development and best practices for RIA contractors, building sciences and interaction with other professionals on multidisciplinary teams.

Presentations are also welcome on other topics related to restoration and reconstruction, including business management topics.

The deadline for call for papers submittals is Tuesday, September 9, 2014. Persons interested in giving technical presentations must submit an abstract no more than 400 words in length that gives the title of the presentation, a brief description of its contents and references cited.

Submittals must also include the speaker’s biography. Presentation timeslots will be either 60 minutes or 90 minutes in length. Final selections will be made by RIA by October 1, 2014 and authors will be notified by October 27, 2014. Selected speakers will be given complimentary registration to the convention.

Presentations at the RIA Annual Convention must be non-commercial and submitted for the advancement of restoration industry knowledge.

The RIA is also seeking submissions for its pre-conference convention workshops.
